We strongly suggest that your marketing plan consist of doing anything and everything you possibly can to have your tribe opt into our segmentation funnel in the first day or two of the Super Stack launch week.

Having said that, we are convinced that a good, responsive, engaged email list will usually be an affiliate’s greatest asset.

Don’t get me wrong. We love for you to post on your Blog and run fabulous Twitter and Pinterest campaigns. Some of you have huge, very responsive social media platforms, and if it works for you, then by all means, use that as your main source of traffic.

If blogging and social media is where your heart lies and that’s where you believe you’ll get the most bang for your buck, that’s cool. There are tutorial pages on those traffic strategies on your portal page.

However, it’s been our experience that email is still the number one most effective way to promote INFO|Stack.

Email marketing, sometimes called “permission marketing” is extremely effective because it allows you to build that “Like” and “Trust” factor over time.

By compiling and engaging with an email list, you are building a relationship with your tribe that other forms of marketing, including social media can’t really achieve.

So, now that we all agree that email is where we’re going to get most of our results… Here are some email basics.

(We go into much greater detail about running your INFO|Stack email campaign under the “Email Strategy” banner on the Affiliate Portal page.)

DOES SIZE MATTER?

Well, yes and no. All things being equal, you certainly want a larger rather than a smaller list.

Having said that, if you have what you consider to be a smaller list, we don’t want you to think that you can’t come to the party.

You don’t need to have a huge list to be successful.

With email marketing, many times it’s more about the quality of the list than it is about sheer size.

Of course, if you have a small list that’s stale and un-engaged and your subscribers never open the occasional email you send them, (Perhaps even a major percentage of them don’t even remember who you are) well, then this is going to be a bit of an uphill battle for you.

On the other hand, if your list is highly engaged, relevant to the niche and will open and then actually read your emails, you have a great chance of being able to successfully promote a Super Stack.

As we’ve mentioned elsewhere in these documents, engagement and relevance have a lot to do with conversion rate.

Conversion rate is, of course, one of the key metrics you should be paying attention too. You can do very well with a smaller list if your subscribers are engaged and interested and your conversion rate is high.

(Conversion rate for those of you who are new, is simply the number of click through’s divided by the number of sales. So, if you had 1000 clicks to your sales page and you made 100 sales you’d have a 10% conversion rate.)

With a high conversion rate, it’s possible to do very well with a smaller list.

In other words, would you rather have a 25% conversion rate from a 5,000-person list (1,250 sales) or a 3% conversion rate from a list of 20,000 (600 sales) the answer, of course, is kind of a no-brainer.

Now, of course, if you can get 25% out of the 20,000 subscribers then you’re killing it!

The point is that you don’t need a huge list to make some money on INFO|Stack as long as you have a good relationship with your people and they trust you.

TONE & VOICE:

There are examples of the type of emails we suggest you send on certain days (Depending on which Super Stack you are promoting) under the “EMAIL TEMPLATES” banner on the Affiliate Portal page

However, you know your tribe, so the exact tone of your emails should come from you. Don’t just copy and paste the examples. Use them as suggestions and re-write them in your own voice.

Don’t be too salesy. Tell a story and suggest they check out the information you have to show them. Hopefully, you’ve already got a great connection to your subscribers. Even so, you want to strive to be real, honest and authentic. The reason they’ll purchase the Super Stack is that they trust you and they know that you wouldn’t steer them wrong.

LENGTH & FREQUENCY:

As mentioned above, we strongly suggest that you follow the structure of the email campaign shown in the email tutorial found under the “EMAIL STRATEGY” banner in your affiliate portal. This will put them into our segmentation funnel and greatly increase your conversion rate. (Don’t worry we’ll be sending you lots of reminders about when and how to broadcast your emails.). You should strive to tell a personal story and relate the info to your situation and your list’s interests. Try to avoid writing an extended length email (Unless that’s what your tribe is used to seeing from you.) For the most part, try to keep the emails relatively short and to the point.

SUBJECT LINES AND OPEN RATES:

As with any email campaign the first goal is to get them to open the email and read the info. The way to do that is to create compelling, curiosity-inducing subject lines. Although we’ve seen open rates as high as 60% a good open rate to shoot for will probably be somewhere between 18 and 40%.

Your subject lines should include one or more of the following concepts:

-Focus on the benefits to the reader

-Use some sort of social proof

-Create urgency

-Use numbers

-Include a personal touch

-Ask a question

-Induce curiosity

Please see your affiliate portal and click on the “EMAIL TEMPLATES” banner for a list of suggested subject lines.

There are some key elements to pay attention too when promoting a Super Stack.

First:

Again, the email should be in your voice. As we’ve mentioned, we’ll give you some templates to help guide you, but you should never just copy and paste. Use them as suggestions and re-write the information in YOUR voice. Your subscribers need to know that the communication is coming from YOU the person they know, like and trust.

Second:

make it as real and authentic as possible. Tell a story, use an anecdote about how you used one of the products, read one of the books, or learned something from a course. Don’t be afraid to tell the truth even if there was something slightly negative about one of the pieces of info. The key is to be real, you’re not trying to ram it down their throats, you’re suggesting that you liked it and got value from it and you think they’d like it also.

Third:

Keep in mind that each of the emails you send should end with a strong call to action, telling the subscriber exactly what to do.

EXAMPLE:

Click this link to go to the sales page and hit the “BUY NOW” button

Fourth:

Each type of email should include its own specific link. There are several different types of links available to you on your specific Super Stack Affiliate Portal. In most cases, there will be a “Segmentation funnel” link as well as a “Direct to sales page” link. Plus a few others. Please see the tutorial under the “EMAIL MARKETING STRATEGY” Banner on the Affiliate portal for your specific Super Stack for instructions on when to use which link.
